Ellis recently started using the phrase "dudderee toots" after hearing Heather say "blueberry poop." It cracks him up...and also cracks us up everytime...enjoy...

After our vacation in Maui, Heather and I decided to leave Ellis with my mom, hit LA for about 24 hours, celebrate two birthdays, and catch up with some old friends...and in the case of our dear friend Amanda, compare pregnant bellies! We celebrated Heather's and John's thirtysomething birthdays with a date at the Hollywood Bowl, with the pianists Herbie Hancock and Lang Lang performing. A great and quick trip..

We just returned from an extended visit to Maui where we spent time as a family and with Heather's sister Heidi, daughter Lillian, her mom and stepdad Arnie. We all ate our weight in papayas, mangoes and shaved ice, and thoroughly enjoyed our time away. Ellis also became familiar with the ocean waves and hawaiian fish as a result of a couple of visits to the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium. Here are some of the visuals from the trip...Mahalo! george and heather

Over the 4th of July weekend, Heather, Ellis and I flew up to Neskowin, Oregon to spend time with Bryan and Nancy and members from both extended families. We were fortunate enough to participate in Neskowin's annual 4th of July Parade and Uncle Sam made a surprising appearance (thanks Nancy!). It was a great time of rest, quality food, and family. We were also able to witness firsthand the recently renovated and amazing beach house of Bryan and Nancy. Enjoy! George and Heather
